School Mental Health Awareness Day is a partnership of KASP, KSCA, KSSWA, and KSNO intended to communicate the importance of support for school based mental health.

This is an important advocacy day for school mental health providers including School Social Workers. We need School Social Workers from across the state to join us for professional development in the morning and legislative visits in the afternoon. Talking points will be discussed and given to you to assist you with your legislative visit.

About the event:

Registration begins at 8:30am

Welcoming remarks will begin around 9:00am

The morning agenda with speakers provided at a later date

The afternoon session is designed to allow participants to attend hearings and meet with local legislators to share information about school-based mental health. Please schedule your meetings with legislators PRIOR to the event.

Registration is free and lunch is on your own.

School Social Workers will be able to receive 2 free CEU's once the event's evaluation has been completed and turned in.
